Por primera vez, desde que Betterez se hizo socio en Septiembre de este año, este 15 de Noviembre de 2022 el equipo de Betterez asistió a un evento presencial con la Cámara Internacional de la Industria de Transporte (CIT) en la 35ª Asamblea General Ordinaria en la Ciudad de Puntarenas, Costa Rica, para ser recibidos oficialmente como miembros y designados como el “Capítulo Canadá”.
La Cámara Interamericana de Transportes (CIT) fue creada en 2002 por iniciativa de la Confederación Nacional del Transporte – CNT (Brasil), y 16 países más de Latinoamérica, con el objetivo de ser el foro de discusión de las tendencias en el sector de transporte en el Continente Americano. Ahora, Betterez forma parte de CIT como uno de sus partners tecnológicos para Latinoamérica.
Durante la reunión se habló también de la participación en el próximo evento de ABA Marketplace y Busworld en Detroit, Estados Unidos en Febrero de 2023, donde se tendrá un espacio designado en el que Betterez estará participando en conjunto con miembros del CIT.
En el evento, Liliana Álvarez, Senior Account Executive en Betterez tuvo la oportunidad de hacer equipo con el Sr. Jose Juan Ciccia, Vicepresidente de CIVA, quien es uno de los clientes de Betterez más recientes en Perú, para llevar a cabo conversaciones sobre desarrollo de negocios y nuevas ideas dentro de CIT.
Así mismo, el equipo de CIVA en Perú ha permitido abrir puertas a Betterez con Ecuador, con el Sr. Carlos Marcelo Castro Salazar, un transportista de muchos años en Ecuador, quien se encuentra interesado en llevar innovación y tecnología al país vecino.
Finalmente, se llevó a cabo una reunión exclusiva con el equipo de mujeres en CIT para evaluar y discutir un proyecto de Asociación de Mujeres en Buses en LATAM modelado a partir del grupo Women in Buses de American Bus Association. Durante el evento se discutió al respecto y la propuesta para iniciar el proyecto de Asociación Mujeres en Buses en Latinoamérica fue bien recibida.
Durante esta sesión también se destacó la presencia de la Dra. María Cecilia Anan de Argentina, quien es una empresaria de transporte que ha luchado por los derechos de las mujeres en Argentina. Así mismo, también cuenta con un proyecto afiliado al CIT en tecnología a través de un programa de nombre “Mente Joven” con un canal que conecta a recién graduados para generar tecnología dedicada a empresas de transporte.

Betterez strengthens ties with the International Chamber of the Transportation Industry in Costa Rica
For the first time since becoming a member in September of this year, on November 15, 2022, the Betterez team attended a face-to-face event with the International Chamber of the Transportation Industry (CIT) at the 35th Ordinary General Assembly in the City of Puntarenas, Costa Rica, to be officially received as members and designated as the “Canada Chapter”.
The Inter-American Chamber of Transport (CIT) was created in 2002 at the initiative of the National Confederation of Transport – CNT (Brazil), and 16 other countries in Latin America, with the aim of being the forum for discussion of trends in the transport sector in the Americas. Now, Betterez is part of CIT as one of its technology partners for Latin America.
During the meeting, participation in the next event of ABA Marketplace and Busworld in Detroit, United States in February 2023 was also discussed, where there will be a designated space in which Betterez will be participating together with members of the CIT.
At the event, Liliana Álvarez, Senior Account Executive at Betterez had the opportunity to team up with Mr. Jose Juan Ciccia, Vice President of CIVA, who is one of Betterez’ newest clients in Peru, to conduct conversations about business development and new ideas within CIT.
Likewise, the CIVA team in Peru has allowed to open doors for Betterez with Ecuador, with Mr. Marcelo Castro, a long-time carrier in Ecuador, who is interested in bringing innovation and technology to the neighboring country.
Finally, an exclusive meeting was held with the women’s team at CIT to evaluate and discuss a project of the Association of Women in Buses in LATAM modeled after the Women in Buses group of the American Bus Association. During the event, this was discussed and the proposal to start the Women in Buses Association project in Latin America was well received.
During this session, the presence of Dr. Maria Cecilia Anan from Argentina, who is a transport entrepreneur who has fought for women’s rights in Argentina, was also highlighted. Likewise, it also has a project affiliated to the CIT in technology through a program called “Young Mind” with a channel that connects recent graduates to generate technology dedicated to transport companies.
