Betterez joins the International Transportation Industry Chamber (CIT) as an Associate Member

Betterez recently joined the International Transportation Industry Chamber (“CIT”), a non-profit, private-law civil association, to help support the organization’s mission to integrate Latin American countries into the transportation industry for passengers and goods, bringing social well-being, economic growth, and development to the region.

“By participating in CIT, Betterez can increase our ability to help Mexican and Latin American passenger and freight transportation companies not only survive but thrive, by advocating for policies and common sense solutions that will support both enterprise and small & medium size bus companies to digitize and grow their businesses,” said Mike Van Horn, Senior VP of Betterez.

CIT’s main objective is to defend and monitor the interests of carriers, promote research on the improvement of cargo and passenger transport technologies, and assist in economic and legal research.

With Chapters in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela, CIT has an international structure and scope where everyone has the right to speak and contribute to the chamber’s mission.

“We’re looking forward to working with leading bus companies from the region that are currently participating in CIT such as Peru’s Civa as well as leveraging our experiences and lessons learned from 11+ years of providing passenger and parcels/packages SaaS solutions on a global scale, including now 4+ years of working with bus companies in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru, to contribute to CIT’s objectives,” added Mr. Van Horn

As part of its initial efforts to get involved in CIT, the Betterez team is planning to attend the 35th Ordinary General Assembly, which will cover Environment and Transport, on November 15 and 16, 2022, at Puntarenas, Costa Rica, aiming to strengthen relations with the directors of the CIT General Secretariat and representatives, as well as active members of the Chamber.
