Betterez, a leading ticketing and sales management SaaS, has partnered with Navettes du Fjord, a ferry service in Quebec, Canada, to simplify their ticketing and reservation processes. With Betterez’s innovative platform, Navettes du Fjord can now sell more custom products on its website and reduce lost sales opportunities via booking process automation and alerts.
“Our goal is to bring more visitors to the beautiful Saguenay region of Quebec, more people but less cars, and the Navettes ferry service is a key asset to accomplish this undertaking,” said Ms. Angélique Longtin, Chief of Operations, Navettes du Fjord, a division of Promotion Saguenay. “We were underselling, and we also wanted to have a system where we could combine our core product, the ferry, with ancillary products such as a kayak and other excursions, and to make that easily understandable and bookable on the website. So, we reached out to some of our motorcoach partners in the area for recommendations, who pointed us to Betterez.”
“We needed to have a sales system that would calculate the correct ferry capacity in part to work with other Saguenay area tours, hotels, and eateries to develop exciting package experiences for our guests. The ability of Betterez to do this also required their system to be easily accessible by our website developer, who gave the Betterez ‘APIs’ great reviews. We’re incredibly excited to have released our new website utilizing the Betterez backend this last week, and look forward to working with the Betterez team to enhance our digital ticketing and packaging solution over the coming years,” added Ms. Longtin.

What is also noteworthy for Betterez with Navettes is another proof point that the Betterez SaaS can support several modes of transport to sell and operate more efficiently. Another example is Betterez’ successful partnership with the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission’s Polar Bear Express, a passenger train service in Northern Ontario. “What is also interesting for us in providing our inventory management SaaS (IMS) to such as trains and ferries is that over time we can present the opportunity to support multi-modal interline, such as connecting a bus to a ferry service for a single journey, not only selling a single ticket but also redeeming and reporting accurately on that ticket to multiple transport operators,” explained Mr. Van Horn.
