Royal Excursion Replaces Coach USA Routes, Launches New Reservations Platform in Just Four Weeks

After learning last December that Coach USA would shut down their Indiana Airport Supersaver business, Royal Excursion, the leading charter bus and luxury transportation provider in the Midwest, acted quickly to continue service to several routes across the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland corridor.  The new service has been named ‘Royal Zoom’.

Betterez, a global ticketing and reservations platform built for ground travel operators, and Royal Excursion have just announced a new partnership in which Royal Excursion is using the Betterez reservations system as the primary eCommerce platform to power the passenger experience, as well as back office sales and operations.

“I want to thank Shannon Kaser and the entire Royal Excursion team for their trust in Betterez to help get the Royal Zoom service online and selling in an accelerated timeline,” said Senior Vice President of Betterez, Mike Van Horn.  “One feature that is helping Royal Excursion operate is the Betterez Connection Engine, which optimizes schedules and wait times, as many of the new services routes have connection points. We look forward to continuing to roll out more passenger and operator focused features such as loyalty, dynamic pricing and distribution further in to 2020 and beyond.”

Royal Excursion is a leading charter bus and luxury transportation provider in the Midwest serving individual riders, corporate businesses, and large groups. Its new service began on March 3, 2020. Service includes one-way and roundtrip travel between several locations, including Chicago O’Hare International Airport, University of Notre Dame, Michigan City, and South Bend International Airport.
